My Approach

Testing
I think one of the more important things you can do with MS is rule out issues that may be causing or mimicking MS, as well as find issues that might be hindering the bodies ability to heal, or causing an over reactive immune system. Testing is a crucial component of this. A number of viruses, bacteria and other pathogens are believed to cause demylination, as well as mimic the symptoms of MS. In addition, other toxicities, such as heavy metal poisoning, may be contributing or causing problems related to MS.

Early on, conventional doctors tested for ANA which is an indicator for Systemic Lupus Erythematosus or SLE. This also can involve demylination, and I believe, can be indistinguishable from MS except via the ANA test. Beyond this, non-integrative western doctors saw no value or reason to test for further indicators of what may be causing my health problems. Is this why, after at least four decades of medical attention to MS, a cause has not been found?

I have found the Encyclopedia of NATURAL MEDICINE by Michael Murray, N.D. and Joseph Pizzorno, N.D. to be a very informative source for understanding my condition and the workings and interactions of the human body. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in achieving a healthful state.

Much more information coming soon: Due to Michael's disc decompression treatments, he has to stay off of computers for the next few weeks to get the most from the treatments. Please check back for additional information in the future. This site is a work in progress and will continued to be updated.
